Verge: For the City

The Verge Conference is a four-day experience that equips church leaders, students, nonprofit directors, and everyday people pursuing the mission of God to make disciples in every sphere and domain of society. The conference also resources individuals to advocate for the poor and oppressed, while mobilizing urban movements of gospel-centered missional communities.

This year, The For the City Network is presenting one of the pre-conferences: Verge: For the City | Urban Mission Labs. The pre-conference will encourage, inform, and equip people to engage their city holistically with the gospel. In a combination of plenary and breakout sessions, the pre-conference will focus on the biblical principles of urban ministry and practical training, covering such topics as empowerment, mentoring, employment, relocation, reconciliation, and more. Speakers include Dr. John Perkins (national leader in Christian community development), Bob Lupton (author of Toxic Charity), John Sowers (The Mentoring Project), Matt Carter (The Austin Stone Community Church), and many others.

The Verge: For the City | Urban Mission Labs pre-conference will take place on Tuesday, February 28, from 9a-6p at The For the City Center . The pre-conference rate is $59 and space is limited.  To register for the pre-conference (and/or other Verge sessions), visit the Verge website.

We hope to see you there!
