RBI Austin Hosts First Clinic

On January 30, RBI Austin held its first youth baseball clinic at Reagan High School’s newly-renovated baseball field.  Players from five local high schools came out to enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon of baseball and instruction from the pros.  Former big leaguers Curtis Thigpen and Jon Switzer were on-hand, along with former University of Texas standout Justin Simmons and current professional players, Donnie Joseph and Taylor Rogers.

After two hours of baseball, Curtis spoke to the group about lessons he has learned through baseball, including the importance of hard work, perseverance, and having fun on the field. The afternoon ended with each player taking home an MLB fitted hat, courtesy of Major League Baseball.

RBI Austin would like to thank the dedicated volunteers and each of the pro players pictured below for joining to make the first RBI Austin clinic a great success!
